| VxWorks Boot Parameters |
Below are boot parameters for an MVME2301 in the main DAQ system on subnet 237 booting from b0vxboot01 or b0vxboot02. Substitute the correct values for your processor in the "inet on ethernet" and "target name" fields.
MVME2301 MVME2305 MVME2400 MVME5500   boot device : dc dc dc
wancom0   processor number : 0 0 0
0   host name * : b0vxboot02 b0vxboot02 b0vxboot01
b0vxboot01   file name : kernel/mv2301/v5_3c/vxWorks kernel/mv2305/v5_3c/vxWorks kernel/mv2401/v5_4a/vxWorks

boot/front-end/startup.5500.cdf other (o) :
* Normally we divide the VxWorks boot hosts evenly between b0vxboot01 (131.225.237.17) and b0vxboot02 (131.225.237.20) − all node names up to, but not including the characters b0m (in alphanumeric order) use b0vxboot01; node names starting with b0m and later shall use b0vxboot02.
The "startup script" assumes that the kernel + additional CDF libraries are burned in the flash ram.
There should be an entry for the processor in ~vxworks/.rhosts and in ~vxworks/.bashrc files.
If you have trouble, you will save a lot of time by just bringing the processor by the online office area and contacting J. Patrick.
Also, the "disable passwords" flag in the boot parameters will be ignored. Passwords will always be required.
